New Covenant Academy (NCA) is a WASC Accredited and IB World school located in the heart of Los Angeles. Founded in 1999, NCA currently instructs 115 students in Grades 1 through 12. NCA is a small school “by design,” and as such the students are instructed by 21 caring and skilled teachers and administrators. That’s about 5: 1 in terms of student-to-teacher ratio. Typical class size at NCA is about 10 students per class.
NCA recently became an International Baccalaureate school, offering the IB Diploma program to high school students in grades 11 and 12.  As the only IB Diploma school in the City of Los Angeles, NCA is 
poised to become an academic powerhouse. As is, all of NCA’s graduates have been accepted by at least one of the UC schools.  A vast majority of students matriculate to institutions such as UCLA, Berkeley, West Point, USC, Occidental, NYU, UCSD, Pepperdine, U. of Toronto, Boston University, etc.  In 2009, NCA produced two (2) UC Regent Scholars, one (1) Chancellor’s Scholar, and (1) Honors Program student for the UC system.Â
